I have a project at the moment like this. Or rather some academic colleagues in our Business School have. So this is what we’re doing.
Like the student scenario I’m going to use the word ‘parallel’ to represent something that isn’t. I should say concurrent as the point is about working at more or less the same pace, often separately but on related projects, and then as a bigger learning community touching base occasionally (so converging). My mental image is more like a helix though I don’t know if this helps.
So the idea is to co teach and synchronise common moments. Quite difficult in terms of time zones between the UK and Brazil, but webinars work well. In terms of #Byod though you might be thinking of building in a competitive dimension and producing stuff which can be photographed or videod, or comparing findings or cultural responses. Video seems to work well. These can be shared and compared on YouTube or embedded into a a VLE for comment. Or groups can comment on each other’s blogs?
