If you took part in our first #Twalk you’ll be ready to stretch your legs again!
It occurs to me that the Twalk concept captures what we used to call mobile learning, reflecting several of its dimensions,
- the mobile device
- being mobile and moving through spaces
- being situated in real world meaningful environments
- addressing authentic problems in authentic ways
- being outside the classroom
- being digitally connected with people anywhere
- being co-productive.
Whoever you are, wherever you are…
Join us in a Learning Spaces #Twalk on 28th July 2017
We are running a second #Twalk (a walk with a tweetchat) about learning spaces, this time with the theme ‘Crossing Boundaries’. Lasting an hour from 14:30 BST, it will be part of the Association of Learning Technology’s Learning Spaces SIG event in Sheffield. You are all invited to take part in the walk.
Here is the route with timings for Sheffield participants: Sheffield_LS_Twalk. We encourage participants located elsewhere to schedule their own Twalks to coincide with the Sheffield twalkers using the same hashtag (#TwalkBoundaries), same timings, and same topics. Together we will create a rich picture (as we did last time) of learning spaces and the relationship of the university and the student to civic space.
Further information will be posted here, on the MELSIG site and on this Twalk guidance page.
